Oishi sushi!
Yummy yummy delicious sushi! The pink plate one is called California maki, the blue plate one is kanikama and the biege plate one is called...oops i forgotten the Japanese name for it but its cucumber sushi. I remember so fondly of sushis and the friendly "Irrashimasei!" greetings in Sushi King as i used to worked there as a waitress back during my uni days. I shall not disclose which outlet it is so that i won't get bashed by the company and people working there who knew me..hehe.
I worked there during my uni holidays in 2002. I applied for the job with my best friend and we both got the job. It was such a fun experience working together with ur best pal because it takes ur mind off how tedious and exhausting the job can get. I remembered having a manager whom nickname was 'Cobra' because we gave him that name. He would make us greet each and every customer who comes in with a polite "Irrashimasei!" but it gets tiring after some time. Each morning, Cobra would give us a morning briefing on daily sales target and performance standard which is just basically a lecture on "bla bla blas". Then, he would read out customers' complains and scolded us for our 'bad performance and attitudes'. So, we all decided to take revenge on the Cobra. I remembered those early mornings....me and my pal have to mop the floors and wipe the table tops. While the manager were busy counting the sales achievement, we "conveniently" ate the sushis rolling on the kaiten belt while at the same time, pretending to clean the tables real hard. Hehe... then there was another time when i got so sick of the manager scolding us because the customers complained about our services, i took one of the suggestions form and filled in a good service remark.Hehe....it goes something like this:
"Name: Datin Sri Samy Vellu
Name of waitress who attended to you: MY NAME
Remarks: The waitress was so friendly and polite. Definately would come in again. Good food and great staffs. Keep up the good work and this waitress should be promoted to manager!"
Hehe...imagine my satisfaction i get out of that even though it was kinda lame.
